Welcome to My Baker Recipes!

Hi, I’m Clara Parker—professional baker, food photographer, and the founder of My Baker Recipes. What began as a passion project in 2009 has grown into a thriving community where home bakers find trusted recipes, step-by-step guides, and a whole lot of butter-sugar-flour love.

I believe baking should be joyful, not intimidating. That’s why every recipe on this site is tested relentlessly (sometimes a dozen times!) to ensure it works—no fancy equipment or pastry degree required. When you succeed in the kitchen, I succeed.

Outside of blogging, I’m a mom to four wild, sweet kids and live in Portland, Oregon, where my kitchen is perpetually dusted with flour and my camera is always within reach.

My Journey from Home Baker to Professional

My baking journey started in my grandmother’s farmhouse kitchen, where I learned that:

  • The best recipes are made with love (and good butter)
  • Precision matters, but so does intuition
  • Every failed cake is just a step toward mastery

After culinary school and years in professional kitchens, I started this blog to document my recipes. What I didn’t expect was to build:

  • A library of 500+ rigorously tested recipes
  • A team of talented food professionals
